Getting this straight
 

Last night there was a comment made about people "having a few" and posting. I haven't had a drop in over 5 years and I am proud of that fact. I take great offense in being accused of going back on my word to my daughter. See the reason I quit ( I was a drunk in every sence of the word) was because I made my daughter a promise to never again drink.
I have been accused of shooting my mouth off without having all the information, well I submit that people who live in glass houses............................

I'll quit drinking when my wife gets tired of the beatings, and not before.

Whenever that charge has been lobbied against me...it's always been true.

I usually don't drink when I'm on this board, cause I'm busy drinking.

Sometimes I post with a hangover, that's usually when I get honery. ;)

I couldn't imagine posting here without drinking. Come to think of it, I couldn't imagine doing much without drinking.

I don't drink when I'm using the computer, bad things usualy happen... no I'm not kidding.

I have cut down on my drinking to two or three nights a week and I'm feeling a lot better.

2.5 years clean and sober. A nice change really, kid had most everyting to do with it .

My original intent was to quit completely... but I'm single with no kids and when I go out with friends for pizza or sushi and everyone is having beer I find myself joining in.

Maybe I need to have kids. :D

Look, that whole thread took a turn into territory that made absolutely no sense, and surprised me - as jaded and bored as I am with the antics of a number of our more vocal cartoon characters here.

I tune in here to the same reason I used to read the letters to the editor - so see what kind of BS people would write. Lsat night was over the top.

A number of the parties in that fiasco last night sounded like they'd tipped one too many. You, Rick, were one of the more lucid.

Ya'll just need to let it go.

3 months tomorrow for me!

Because of my recently diagnosed liver ailment (not alcohol-related), I haven't had a drink since January and I'll never be able to again... I really don't miss it, either.

2hrs. 17mins. 46secs. for me. time to get another! :p

I have posted some seriously stupid stuff here while drunk.

Instead of drunken late night calls to ex-girlfriends, I post on Pelican Parts.

Hell, I'm drinking a Hales Pale Ale right now.....

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

That will only make you drink more.
