HBO's Hard Knocks - Training Camp with the BOYS!!!
Anyone else watching this? I watched it twice on my DVR and will probably fire it up again in a couple days. Jeez, I got fired up during the intro! I'm so amped up for the Cowboys season this year I can't stand it.
Some great moments from this week's show: 1). Jerry Jones talking with Terry Glenn's agent. Priceless. After hearing the Cowboys were waiving Glenn: Agent: Don't you think another team will sign him once you waive him? Jerry: No. LOL. Straight up and in your face. And Jerry was right, it's been 2 weeks and no one has sniffed around Glenn. 2). The block Marion Barber put on #58 Tyson Smith. Holy crap! Completely decleated the guy. That block in slow motion is just amazing. 3). T.O.'s line of t-shirts. I swear I am buying me one of those. I'm leaning towards the "I love me some me" one but I'm not sure yet. ![]() I'm looking forward to this weekend's preseason game as well as next week's episode. I really want to see how Felix Jones is looking, we didn't see much of him this week because of his 2 day holdout. Another one to watch is WR Danny Amendola from Texas Tech. Undrafted free agent, supposed to be too short and too slow by NFL standards. Reminds me of the reports on another guy named Wes Welker... The kid is smart, does everything asked of him with a smile, has no attitude and plays with heart. If I'm Wade Phillips he has a roster spot. Go Cowboys!

It's too damned hard to get exicted anymore. We have a bunch of guys that can play football, but we also have a bunch of guys that, at any given time, could be a part of the TDCJ squad. (prison) Why Jerry wants Dallas to be the halfway house is beyond me.
I never cared for preseason, in fact losing all 4 or 5 used to mean we were at least going to be in the NFC championship game. Also, we aren't going to get the elusive playoff win until the panzy a$$, Mr. nice guy coach quits giving them days off for R&R. Good lawd! I thought he learned his lesson after letting them go on vacation prior to getting whipped by the Giants in the Playoffs. I guess not. 9-7 and get a wild card spot, there's the playoff win, but only the one.

My die hard Cowboys friend called me today and told me I needed to watch it. His comment was there are probably some broken tv sets in the NY, Philly and Washington DC area today.
America's team, uuuuuuggggghhhhh, I think I just threw up in my mouth. Bill |

When I was a kid, my best friends Dad would take us to Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks to watch the Cowboys. I watched Staubach, Pugh, Jordan, the whole shooting match.
It was free...maybe 100 folks wandering around watching the players. I actually sat on the grass no more than 30 feet from Morton and Staubach as they went through the drills, Laundry wearing them both out. The NFL was a different world in the 60's/70's. It was fun but I was a 49'er fan...still am. Mothers don't let your sons grow up to be CB fans
