Where is Joeaska?

Did I miss something? Banned? Feed up with liberal hand wringing ninnies like me?

speeder 08-09-2008 02:17 AM

He banned himself during the whole language deal w/ Z-man, there was sort of a putsch(sp?) around here and he got mad and split. He'll be back I hope. (And predict).

Joe's posts can be a little acerbic, but he's a good guy in reality and I like him.

gassy 08-09-2008 12:59 PM

Yeah, c'mon Joe. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Mule 08-09-2008 01:02 PM

Yeah, I remember him having an issue with the language constraints. He Is a good guy. Sorry he's gone.

Seahawk 08-09-2008 01:15 PM

Like Speeder, I've met Joe in person (Speeder, too!). I drove Ricks BMW out to AZ and Joe was absolutely instrumental in making sure everything went well, not just for Rick, but for me as well. He saved me a lot of time and effort.

He is a really fine man. We are all excitable boys...

That said, if he continues his self imposed Exile on PPOT Street, he's dead to me.;)

Mule 08-09-2008 01:17 PM

A little strong, huh?

jyl 08-09-2008 01:37 PM

Joe seems to take PPOT too seriously.

m21sniper 08-09-2008 02:08 PM

Apparently not at all, since he dropped it like a bad habit.

speeder 08-09-2008 02:30 PM

FWIW, there has never been a member w/ the handle "Joeaska".

scottmandue 08-09-2008 02:34 PM

He is a professional pilot... he may just be jetting around the world boinking beautiful women.

That *%&^$ head! :D

rcecale 08-09-2008 03:17 PM

Having met Joe in person, and communicated with him fairly often, I can safely say he is truly one of the good guys. (Aren't we all?)

This place isn't the same without him.

C'mon back, Joe! Your friends miss you! :(

Semper fi,

Randy

nostatic 08-09-2008 03:20 PM

I've met Joe too, and stayed with him in Vegas at the PPOT get-together a few years back. He's a great guy. But I did get cranky about the repeated accusations of the "liberal moderator plot." The whole thing just got surreal at some point...

Maybe we need Dr. Phil to solve this ;)

9dreizig 08-09-2008 03:28 PM

Actually I checked his profile, he's been lurking since he went on self imposed exile, Hope he'll be back...

tabs 08-09-2008 03:33 PM

Boy Ohhh Boy have you come out of your shell.

Les Paul 08-09-2008 03:44 PM

My favorite pilot with great stories, with Seahawk close behind.

Sounds like I missed something while on vacation the week before last. Can someone brief me on the Z-man "whole language deal"?

gassy 08-09-2008 04:45 PM

You can't say any of the words on the following list:

Edited - language removed, Z-man

jyl 08-09-2008 04:51 PM

That thread turned ridiculous. A bunch of grown men turning all angry and bitter because they were told not to use swear words on a PG-rated board.

legion 08-09-2008 04:52 PM

I hope Joe comes back too. His perspective is invaluable. He actually goes to many of the places we pretend to be experts on.

azasadny 08-09-2008 04:55 PM

I miss Joe's posts and I really hope he comes back...

I think it's an Arizona thing.

vash 08-09-2008 05:18 PM

joe is a great guy. he recently took valuable time from his schedule and helped my find some watch parts. i dont always think like he does, but he is cool as hell.

widgeon13 08-09-2008 06:00 PM

Good guy, nothing wrong with knowing where you stand w/ someone.

fintstone 08-09-2008 07:21 PM

Joe is a great guy! I must have missed whatever happened...but you can always count on him to be a straight-shooter. I just figured he was busy...I know I travel a lot for work too, and often cannot vist here.

cab83_750 08-09-2008 07:30 PM

I think he decided to join Snowman's pursuit of perfecting the Dillon machine. He is assisting the immediate completion of the test so he can have the machine!!!!

:) :)

pwd72s 08-09-2008 07:58 PM

Hope Joe makes it into Istanbul some day...so he can pat my old ride on a fender...

Rick Lee 08-09-2008 10:13 PM

Joe is fine. I called him last Sat. to see if he wanted to meet up with Jim and the rest of us for dinner. He was in the mountains in NM at the time, waiting to pick up a plane. I see and talk with him often. He took his marbles and went home for a while. He'll be back. He does have a pretty odd schedule though. I've gone to two gun shows with him recently, both a few hours after he had returned from long, long flights.

VINMAN 08-10-2008 06:19 AM

Joes a great guy. I met him this past winter. Miss his posts on here.

Well put.

widgeon13 08-10-2008 06:58 AM

I wanna be like Joe when i grow up!:D

Gogar 08-10-2008 07:04 AM

I admire Joe for his gift of finding pictures of hot women on the internet and posting them here as his own pics. I'll never tell, though! :)

fingpilot 08-10-2008 10:32 AM

I did the same job as him for 30+ years. Sometimes you actually have to go to work.

You mean there are words that you cannot use in here?

Anyone remember singpilot?
