Is there a dealers equivalent to Carfax? Carfax screws you as a dealer. $34 a report! Any dealers out there know a more reasonable source? |

Carfax seems to access public databases. And they seem to be able to access the whole country... I bet 90% of the used cars sold in Florida have Florida only histories. A simplified service with only Florida DMV info for less than $34 might be a good opportunity for the right start-up venture. |

carfax does not have all the states...you need to get the insurance industry checking system...i forget the name of it (not autocheck) |

Yeah, multiple credit cards and multiple e-mail addresses on the public Carfax. |

You can't get the monthly subscription to CarFax? It may be coincidence, but most of the dealers that have provided me with history reports have been AutoCheck. Of course, other than a warm fuzzy feeling for customers, I'm not sure that either has much value. I've owned several vehicles with clean CarFax reports that have been in accidents. |

Carfax to a dealer has lots of value. If there is something negative on it, a dealer considering buying a car needs to know. It lowers the value. |
