Disappearing for a while

Have had a personal issue pop up at home.

Needless to say it has been a rough, traumatic and absolutely terrifying couple of days for me. Thought I was gonna stroke out last night my BP was so bad.

My wife and I tend to hang out in the evenings on the couch and surf. Her on one side, me on the other.

No I did not do anything to jeopardize my marriage but I think, and my wife agrees, that it needs some attention.

So the new rule is the computers stay turned off in the evenings and we spend time together.

I think its a good thing.

No offense but I love her way more than I do you guys.

And some of you guys don't like me anyway so no lose right?:D

And I gotta stay off this thing at work.

Catch you guys later.

Ya gotta keep another screen open to cover up the porn your are watching! :D

BP meds! Keep you pressure under control. And the daily low-dose aspirin! Stay healthy and happy. :)

Take care of the home front.

azasadny 08-13-2008 06:28 AM

Take care and come back soon!

Take some time off. We will miss you, and welcome your return.

Same situation here.
But, realizing I've been staring at this computer screen for the last four freakin' hours is a good self-dosage of reality check.

Reverse situation for me. The wife stays on the computer from the moment she gets home and changes into house clothes. I hear what you're saying big time.

I have been toiling this for a while now myself. I noticed Rob did it successfully.

My life could be much more productive if I was not looking through this window all the time.

Maybe I should type a curse word and get banned. :D

If I didn't have this place I would be way less productive. And insane.

stomachmonkey - stop by and say hello once in a while...

My wife lives on the computer as soon as she gets home from work and for much of the weekend. Usually she watches Chinese game shows online. But she sends me some good Chinese porn links too, so I'm cool with it.

Recently we got a ping pong table, so we always get in a few games after dinner.

Rot 911 08-13-2008 08:02 AM

I don't think my wife has ever used the computer at home.

onewhippedpuppy 08-13-2008 09:14 AM

Used to be a problem for me. Now the only time the computer comes out in the evening is to look at something together, or if my 4 year old son wants to watch car movies on Youtube.:) As odd as it is to say, the internet can be an addicting thing.

pwd72s 08-13-2008 10:00 AM

No problem here...I could quit anytime I want. Don't be a total stranger, ya hear?

rattlsnak 08-13-2008 07:07 PM

I was doing the same thing, but couldnt stand to sit and watch her crappy tv shows with her either, so we compromised. Moved the puter into the TV room, and now we are right next to each other but kinda doing our own thing!

Right on......She used to complain I was always upstairs on the computer. Got a laptop with Wi-Fi and I sit next to here with it while she watches "Sex in the Suburbs" or whatever it is....She's happy and often wants me to pass her the laptop.......

Learn to multi task, when I am on PPOT, I'm watching TV w the wife, talking to her and reciting good threads. Cooking, cleaning, getting a BJ, Whats the problem?

Hugh R 08-13-2008 08:18 PM

My wife gets a little cynical, but then again, she recognizes that I'm home, not somewhere else.

That works.

I jokingly modified nostatic's moniker to noshhitic, knowing that he'd have no choice but to ban me.

I needed the break, which I didn't have the intestinal fortitude to enforce on my own, so I said, fcuk it, do the noshhitic thing and sure enough, I was banned.

Uh oh.....
