Resonse by a real american, California

This is a response I got from a Californian republican state senator regarding a letter I wrote. It's quite a bit different from the response I would have gotten from a stinking lowlife scum democrat. It exemplifies what I like about republicans and despise about democrats.
After reading this response I wrote a check for $1000 and sent to to Mr. Ackerman's re-election campaign. I only wish he were running for president. He's one of the good guys.

Quote:
Dear Mr. Gore:

Thank you for writing to express your views on the state's fiscal crisis.

Like you, I believe that the solution to California's budget problem lies in reducing spending and disbursing your tax dollars more prudently. Even though the state revenues increased by a healthy $24 billion over the past five years, state spending increased at an even faster rate. This excessive expansion of the state's bureaucracy was dangerous enough when California's coffers were overflowing with multi-billion dollar surpluses. Now that the surpluses have been replaced with deficits, the government's failure to control state spending is simply irresponsible.

The bottom line is that our budget deficit was not incurred because Californians paid too little, but because politicians in Sacramento spent too much. Unfortunately, this belief is not held by a majority of lawmakers in Sacramento.
Last summer, my Republican colleagues and I were branded as obstructionists - and worse, - for holding out for a balanced budget that simply reined in the growth of spending by a small fraction. Trying to force the democratic majority to concede to making actual cuts in spending will be an uphill battle indeed.

Please be assured that I will continue to oppose any attempt to balance future budgets by raising taxes, and will work in good faith with my colleagues in the legislature toward realistic fiscal policies that are fair to California's taxpayers and that honestly address the budget challenges that face our state today and over the long term.

Again, thank you for your input. If I can be of further assistance to you in this or any other state matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Dick Ackerman
Senator, 33rd district.

California spent way too much money (trying to do the overly humanitarian thing) on the illegals that Bush let flood into this country.
The illegals, of course, didn't stick around Texas too long.....but then who cares about that.

This is what you can expect from a Obama Presidency and Democratic Congress. Complain as much as you would like about Bush....but one has to realize McCain is NO Bush. McCAin would be very Centerist as President. He would in all likelyhood would be the best candidate the Democrats could field if he were on that side of the aisle. Even Goolsbee, Obama's economic advisor says Obama's views are that of a Liberal Democrat from South Chicago. What the fk does that tell ya. That means that anyone who is middle class is going to be considered to be RICH...and guess who is going to pay the TAXES....

So go ahead and vote for Obama cause you hate Bush....that is real smart....anyway when your taking the taxes up the a$$ just remember you asked for it...so enjoy.

Fixed that for you; yeah, I noticed.

We can have a budget that is late, incomplete and $20 billion on the wrong side of the balance sheet times however much greater the federal budget is greater than Cali's with Mr Obama sitting in the big chair in the roundish office

I suppose it would be to obvious to ask what happened to Federal funding, and where that money went instead.

What did you say the Republicans name was ? Was it Mr. Pat Answer ? Obviously, we will never know what Obama or McCain will do in office if they are not elected, but since there is so much debate about what Bush has accomplished, even if Obama were to be elected, and somehow managed to turn things around, it would no doubt be because of the brilliant pre-paving of the Republican party.

This morning I saw a commercial on TV put out by the teachers. They were blaming the hold-out republicans for the budget crisis and asked the viewers to write to the republicans and tell them to approve the budget and the "increased revenue". They went out of their way to try and make the republicans look like the bad guys.
Freaking liberal liars don't even have the guts to call it what it is, a tax increase.
Guess why the teachers want a tax increase? So they can put it in their pockets.
When are people going to realize that the teacher's union is part of the problem?

The federal funding is spent by congress. They decide where and on what the federal revenue is spent.
