Motorcycle buyer's remorse

Damn, I should have stopped looking!! I just bought a 1984 Honda V65 Magna. I had one about 10 years ago and put 70,000 miles on it before selling it. Well I had to have another one.

Any of you who have owned these know what I'm talking about. They're fast and reliable. The one I just bought (for $2400) had 36k miles, was in great shape for a 24 year old bike, and I was pretty happy with it.

Then I went on Craigslist and saw one with less miles, a Kerker exhaust, Corbin seat, Hondaline case gaurd, windshield and a bunch of other bits and pieces for the same money!!!

Damn, I should have stopped looking!

Cardinal Rule, dude. NEVER look after you purchase.

I admit, I recently did the same with my '93 FJ1200. Now, I see them all over Ebay and CL.

The sad part is, I've been looking for a couple of months all over TX and it seemed like that was a good deal for a bike in that condition. Literally two weeks later I see a better deal.

That Yamaha is awesome BTW!!! Great condition for 15 years old.

Classic bike, that just leaps from 60-120. I can ride it all day.

The pull is incredible, and still walks away from most sport bikes above 100. Like my cars, I don't think I'll ever sell it.
