Audi R8 test drive ends crashing in a river
http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.au...r-crash-r8.jpg The 33-year-old Dutch man from the town of Woerden in the Netherlands went by his local Audi dealership to check out a brand spankin' new R8 supercar... and then proceeded to drive it into the nearest river. The driver was reportedly speeding – 80 mph according to police, but closer to 125 if you ask some of the bystanders – in a 50 zone when he hit a bump, lost control and skidded into a dyke. Although local law enforcement authorities are reportedly investigating the incident, nobody was hurt. The same cannot be said, sadly, for the car, which is reportedly in a repair shop where the dealer's insurance company will surely declare it a write-off. Porsche GT3 vs Porsche Turbo both awesome cars. |
Ellen Degeneres was in the Netherlands ?

I have a customer with an R8, he is an ex rally driver who used to compete in Asia and took me for a nice little ride, that car did things I didnt think a car could do.
He asked if I wanted to drive and I politely declined, as much as I would have liked to drive it I would hate to have to give my house keys to him if I crashed it. |
Why do I have a feeling in 2 weeks we are going to see a cheap 'new' R8 on ebay with strange carpet stains.

Looks like a new CarFax ad in the making...
"Less than 50 miles, freshly detailed..." |
At least he didn't hit anyone else.
Local high end consignment dealership has a white one on the lot. I need to go try one out. |
