Those clips sound like they have been tampered with. Brittney is a grade A slut, but she does have a decent voice.

Yeah I think it's a hoax. Someone laid their own track over the top of the video.

I don't know, it wouldn't surprise me if it's real. You don't think she's actually singing live at "concerts", do you? From what I understand, those in the front rows can actually see her mouthing her dance steps.

As active as she is onstage, it's very unlikely that she could sing the way that she normally does when out of breath from dancing and running around.

But no, she doesn't have a good voice. It's pretty moderate. Christina Aguilera has a good voice, though.

IMO it's real. I don't think ANYONE could sing very well running around like that. It's a show, not a concert.

Of course, I'm not sure she can sing very well standing still, either.

Sad but true...too much pop music is all about looks in this video age. This makes the sound itself suffer. For example, Aretha Franklin wouldn't make it today. Not good looking. But nobody argues about the quality of her pipes...

Oh yea that's the real mic feed. With all the activity on stage and getting her routines right, the last thing on her mind if probably her singing. They probably have a "live" polished vocal track that doesn't sound like the record for live purposes. She has to follow the show to a T or she will will get off her vocal track.

Sad, but this is how this genre of pop music goes. It's all show, little go.

I was out on tour with Lilith Fair for a couple of years, and a friend of mine was running the sound board.

You would be AMAZED at some of the raw feeds coming in from some of the performers.

At the end of the show, there was typically a group sing with all the performers, and Sarah McLachlan had a list of the people she didn't want in her live mix... because they were SOOOO off it hurt.

More and more "stars" owe a lot of their success to the production crew in the studio.

I bet this clip of Brit came from a disgruntled sound engineer

I was working a show about 20 years ago when NKOTB's vocal tracks myteriously went silent.

You have NO idea... my gig was IT, so I pretty well hung out in the green room with the likes of Natalie Merchant, Dixie Chicks, Indigo Girls, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, Biff Naked, etc., etc.

The crowds were cool... lots of nekkid boobies, but typically the kind you don't want to see nekkid.

My favourite memory was when we were doing a 2-day video shoot at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, and the performers had to wear the same clothes both days so that they could edit the footage from both days seamlessly.

Well, Jewel blew out the ass of her leather pants on the first night, so it had to be fixed. I was in the Green Room working on some stuff on my laptop, and she walks in with this little old European seamstress, who sets up her stuff right beside me at the table I was at. Then Jewel drops trou right beside me. The seamstress snips and cuts and stitches for about 20 minutes, and Jewel puts her pants back on, bends/stretches to make sure they fit right, and then leaves. On the table was the leftover piece of leather from the ass of her pants, and the seamstress sees me eyeing it up, smiles, and says, "sorry sweetie, I have to take that in case I need to make another repair". Would have been the best tour souvenir yet.

But yeah, sitting there chatting with Jewel while she was standing there in her panties was an "interesting" experience.

It was a strange gig. It was in the "Independence Bowl" stadium in Shreveport...Right after that, a local TV station's news helicopter (KTBS 3- ABC), a little Hughes 300 IIRC crashed about 50 yds. away, he snagged a single line that was running from a light pole in the parking lot to the side of the stadium.

The "live" headset mics were powered up for a while Needless to say, it was in the middle of one of their BIG production numbers. Those boys just about shat themselves.

That is awesome! (Not the crash).

Did anyone see the Celebrity Apprentice episode where Trace Adkins had to deal with them, and find them some black nail polish and crushed wheat grass juice?

It was HILARIOUS. "I've gone on stage with a broken leg and a dislocated shoulder to put on a hell of a show for my fans, and these guys are threatening to not perform due to not having any grass juice. Is this a joke? Is someone pulling a prank on me? Because this isn't funny... at all."

Then Trace and Lennox Lewis go out and buy nail polish, and Trace says, "I'm never going to hear the end of this... my friends are going to laugh their asses off. Black nail polish. Geesh."

Made NKOTB look like the idiots they are.
