What's with this ********* Obama, did he spend time in a Vietnamese prison camp for 5 years. Hell, he hasn't even been in the military. That is stupid infantile behavior.

McCain fell in love and married a rich woman, should he be critized for that?

He is condemning those who have worked hard to be successful.

Here's the nub: McCain was unprepared and should not have been. McCain appearing to not know how many houses he owns is worse than simply saying the number, which he no doubt knew but, one can hear the wheels spinning, he was trying to spin.

He gooned this and needs to learn from it.

I could personally give a crap how many houses these folks own...Ted Kennedy, Kerry, etc.

If McCain can't figure this out...this is where the Dems are headed, to point to his wealth and stir the envy of their base. It is one of their tools, envy.

The next step is to say that McCain doesn't deserve 7 houses. (3 houses, 4 condos.) It isn't fair.

Of course the GOVERNMENT can fix the problem by taxing people like McCain more and increasing government handouts.

The tactic is very scary, what he (Obama) is saying is that hard work and success should not be rewarded, or if it is, the government will penalize you. But I guess that is the Dems philosophy. Screw the rich and give it to those who sit on their bottoms all day with their hand out.

another reason to use a flat tax = % rate

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,"

so we all should pay the equal %. everyone pays their fair share.

that way the poor still pay their way too. rich will automatically pay more but the percentage wise, all will be the same.

Well, those who sit on their bottoms all day AND those who make bad decisions in high finance or maybe in mortgage lending. Who knows, maybe multinational car manufacturers will finally get their due from the gov't as well.

Get over the POW thing. He sat out the war in a POW camp a half a century ago.
I am sure his father was glad to let the vietnamese babysit him for a while.

Now even those taking gov handouts can have a home/vehicle. If you're middle class you might even be able to have more than a couple. I'm sure Obama will arrange for these even if he doesn't get elected.

"Before moving out West, I lived near Detroit -- the car capitol of the United States for sure, but also home to many people without homes. Stephen M. Mills surely noticed this issue as well as he attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. For his final project in school, Mills created what he refers to as a Homeless Utility Vehicle, basically a small shelter on wheels with just enough space to fit a person inside to protect them from the elements. Of course, it gets pretty darn chilly in Michigan in the winter months. Before actually constructing the shelter, Mills went for two weeks without shaving or taking care of his hair, slept for a night in a small trailer and on the floor of his apartment. These experiences influenced the design of his HUV.

The vehicle itself is human powered and is constructed of plywood, black vinyl and clear vinyl. The wheels appear to come from a small cycle or cart. Mills tested the HUV a bit in Ann Arbor and was happy with the results. We wonder if the HUV could incorporate a simple pedal system as this would likely greatly increase its usability and could even allow for use beyond just homeless persons."

Pretty silly...the homes are his wife's business. He takes the business of running the country seriously and does not waste his time screwing around with her business...which obviously she handles quite well. My wife and I have 5 homes...but she really does not get involved with them and would likely not know the number either..at least not without thinking about it a bit.
