Okay, all, the college football season somehow started today with a make-glorious match of numba one teams! Valdosta State pummeled Fort Valley State 56 to 3. This means the smack talk can begin. So, with much fanfare and a loud WAR D*&$% EAGLE, I'm opening the thread to any and all . . . except for Ohio State fans, because there are no real football teams in Ohio . . .

I have no smack talk, just factual statements.


It'll be Arizona and Illinois in the Rose Bowl, which will naturally also be the National Championship game.

All right, Mule, them's fighting . . . er, videos . . . didn't have to post that last second TD business of last year's game. It's bad enough that we have to give two of our 50 yd. line tickets up to my sister and her raving-LSU-fan boyfriend for this year's match. I told her he had to wear a "Winnie the Pooh" outfit in order to get into the stadium . . .

Illinois still in the Championship game? Anyone? Anyone?

Yeah, Mizzou put that to rest pretty quickly.

KSU wins 45-6! Sure it was against a high school team, but after last year I need something to give me hope.:D On the upside, the revamped offense and defense both executed well, something they didn't do against anyone the second half of last year. Our 5'4" 142 lb (yes you read that right) ju-co transfer caught 2 TD passes. I'm hoping for Darren Sproles #2.

Well it wasn't pretty but Missouri is 1-0. On our way to a National Championship!

Hung half a hundred on the Illini - I'll bet you're really starting to miss the Chief.
Political correctness run amuck.

Missouri will be tough to beat in the North, right now a title game rematch with OU looks pretty likely. With that said, I wish I had tickets to KSU-Mizzou this year. I also look forward to watching Mizzou trounce KU.:D Hopefully KSU can do the same.

If I hear it right from some Alabama fans, every team should just stop playing now and award them another NC to add to their other (legit) four.

Can we pretend I never mention Michigan?

Offense is putting some big points on the board 52-52-69.

Chase Daniel could get the Heisman this year.

They're using tanks.

Tigers get a tune up. Should be 50+ to 10 or so. Tulane is giving hell to E. Carolina, who is fresh of wins over VT and WV.

What about you OSU & USC guys? Tonite's the nite!

Mizzou looked good putting 69 on the board, same as KSU last week. I really don't care who wins the OSU-USC game tonight, I just hope it's a contest. Speaking of which, anyone catch the KU-USF game last night? Damn good game, I hate to admit I was rooting for USF.:D
