And so ends my wandering to MSNBC's website

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26379348/

I believe this is the final straw in my tenuous relationship with MSNBC; I do believe that the individual who wrote this article is completely oblivious as to the reason WHY these people were deported in the first place and am tired of having the media attempt to steer US policy by tugging at the heart strings of the uneducated in order to create a louder voice.

"Almost a third of the 278,000 people deported in 2007 were prisoners. Last year, the U.S. started speeding up the removal of prisoners and deported a record 95,000 after they served their sentences. The U.S. also has detained or deported 10,000 gang members since 2005."

And this bleeding heart is trying to make me feel sorry for the fact that they're being sent elsewhere? Oh, by all means, have them come live in my neighborhood where we welcome crime and lowered property values! As there's no perfect way to separate the criminals from the "innocent" (I use the term lightly, since any illegal immigrant is technically guilty of immigration violations), they all must go regardless of their story.

I realize some of you are likely thinking I'm a prejudiced bastard who hates Hispanics, but the fact of the matter is that immigration policies in place should be heeded AT THE VERY MINIMUM due to the medical screening it provides. There are still countries (like Mexico) that have problems with diseases widely eradicated from the US and I for one have enough issues to deal with without guarding against TB and other medical maladies.

1. For every illegal alien caught, no matter the circumstances, we bill the Mexican government for all costs associated with deporting each alien. I would privatize this and make cost + fee contracts the standard.

2. If/when Mexico doesn't pay, the $ are just deducted from foreign aid packages or added to a tariff outside of NAFTA

3. Every business caught employing illegal aliens is fined 2X the industry/regional standard annual salary for every year that alien was employed, no pro-rate, so if employed for 13 months, the company is still fined for 2 years of salary.

4. Companies found employeeing illegal aliens cannot bid on or receive government contracts for 5 years after discovery

5. 2-tier tax credit for business:
1. If you are in an industry that typically hires foreign labor, you get an XX% tax credit for every American citizen you employ that would normally be filled by an immigrant
2. You get a X% credit for every legal immigrant you hire

6. All illegal aliens must go back to Mexico and apply for legal, temporary status. This would work in concert with businesses here in the states who would determine who is here illegally, pay for their bus trip back to Mexico, get the temporary status paperwork completed, get them back to work. See above on tax credit.

7. All illegal aliens back in the States must attend business/government sponsored U.S. History and English classes for 1 year.

That's a start.

Well the INS picked up a man they say is responsible for the slaughter of 18 people, 8 kids, in Ensenada. They are sending him back, the problem with that is he will get out, slip out somehow, get turned loose or what ever. Their jails aren't too secure for the drug folk. Plus they don't believe in the death penalty.
I think we can expect everyone we send back to come back.

Shawn and I agree on something!!!!! You've got my vote for, ummmm, whatever you're running for. I would also add making the 2nd violation for hiring an illegal alien a felony.

Think about it, it's already illegal to hire an illegal alien. If we just ENFORCED OUR LAWS that we have now, there would be NO JOBS for the illegals, and they would STAY IN MEXICO! Simple.

8. If the illegal alien is female she needs to be HOT!! or not allowed back in the USA

That's a start.

Fixed it for you Shaun

Shaun, I often disagree with your political stances 180-degrees, but on this one I think you've hit the bullseye.

K. Roman 08-25-2008 09:04 AM

Hey, I go on Drudge Report daily, watch Hannity, O'Rly etc, don't agree with everything but I like to hear other points of view.

Shaun @ Tru6 08-25-2008 11:41 AM

Matt, this is just one of the planks in my new Extreme Centrism party and new members are welcome. I don't think I'll win the Presidency this year, but if I do, want to be VP?:D

We might fist-fight in the Oval Office, but sure, I'm game!:D

Shaun @ Tru6 08-25-2008 11:48 AM

that sounds like fun!

Jim727 08-25-2008 12:06 PM

I'm in!

However, a couple of changes, if I may:

1) Change refs to "Mexico" to be "Country of Citizenship". Not all illegals are from Mexico - though that's hard to believe sometimes.

and add

8) The right to Citizenship by virtue of being born in the United States is restricted to those born of parents who entered the country legally at the time of entry.

OK - now I'm happier!

"In other news, President Shawn broke an antique wooden chair across the back of Vice President Matt. The chair was hand carved by Thomas Jefferson. Vice President Matt then proceeded to shatter an oval office vase and brandished a glass shard as a weapon. The vase was selected for the Oval Office by Elanor Rosevelt. Fortunately the secret service quickly intervened in the fight, which is the fifth between the president and his vice president this year.":D

"...Substantial amounts of padding have been added to the floor and walls of the Oval Office in the latest remodel. Taxpayers received a substantial discount, paying only $7Million for the mil-spec foam."

Flatbutt1 08-25-2008 12:37 PM

"...apparently the precipitating issue has not yet been resolved. The boys have been sent to their rooms.."

OK, Jim, I like your #8 a lot, we'll include that, but one of the major tenets of the Extreme Centrist Party is that problems aren't sugar-coated, so I've got to stay with Mexico because it's 99% of the problem.

More on this when the platform is fully fleshed out. In the same way, we'll never be able to call American's patriotism in question by naming a law something like the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act, but I think most Americans will appreciate the no-BS, call it like it is, nature of the Party. We'd name the PATRIOT Act: W.G.S.O.Y.A.I.Y.Q.I.Y.A.T. Act or We're gonna spy on you and if you question it, you're a traitor Act, for example.

And that's just the first quarter of '09! I'm guessing we wouldn't be allowed in the Smithsonian!:D But sometimes it's better to have an opposing viewpoint at your side.

So -- can I be the first member of the Breakaway Fringe Radical Extreme Centrist Dogmatist Party?? ECV for BFRECDP!! Satisfactory!

Dang, next you'll be wanting a Constitution or other extremist wacko thing.

"They" know who you are.

Last year I seriously considered running for a local office under the banner of the Whig Party. Then, shockingly enough, I realized that John Rambo was right . . .
"Are you bringing in weapons?"
"No! Of course not!"
"Then you ain't changing anything."

he has been posting that same list for like at least a year, seriously. Okay maybe not the whole list, but big chunks of that list.

There is a family suing the city of SF over their sanctuary/amnesty nonsense. Guy that should have been deported several times killed a guy and his kids as I recall. I hope they win huge. Some MS 13 POS from Salvador or Honduras, city had several chances to comply with federal law and turn his ass over to the feds
