PP vs. PP

Is it true that Performance Products is shutting off their showroom, etc.? Basically, they will turn into a 'straight mail-order' store. I wonder if the new owner has been mismanaging Performance Products after the acquisition.

Perhaps Pelican Parts was ahead of the game when it never opened a showroom!

p.s.,

I will be honest....I've had a couple of emergency Saturdays wherein P.Products helped me out!

I would think moving the heck out of CA is probably a good move from a business standpoint. The tax structure alone in CA is enough to make me wonder why anyone in their right mind would ever open up shop here.

That said, I'm sticking with Pelican.

no surprise it was sold; build a customer base and overcharge for everything you sell-pretty good idea!

very 'griots' type catalog they have.

Since I found Pelican, I haven't paid any attention to Performance Products.

They are so over priced I only look at their catalog for comic relief... Pelican is my only source

I know a guy who was in Orlando going to Full Sail during Florida's infamous 2004 hurricane season... he got so sick of the power being out, flooding, etc. that he never wants to visit the state again in his life.

Wow, it's like a replay of Tweeks/MidAmerica Motorworks.

I miss getting the Automotion and Performance Products catalogs. I used to be able to get some serious bathroom reading done picking out parts only to go to PelicanParts.com (or elsewhere) to order them. I am not sure Automotion was still around when PP.com went live.

Ah yes - the defining moment - good times.

While Florida was had it's share of storms - the whole eastern seaboard is vulnerable. All it takes is one storm to ruin your whole day.

Too bad about Performance Products - only because I think a little competition makes everybody stronger.
