Is this supposed to be a remake of "Death Race 2000"? I love that movie and finally found it on DVD.

I guess the original would offend to many people if it were remade.

Me too...garbage written to entertain sub teens @ the movieplex. Even with the supposed P-car content, I won't waste time on it.

Fixed it for ya.

Didn't we talk about this a few months back? Someone mentioned the stupidity of having a rear-engined race car when other guys (presumably behind you, as this is a race and you're in a Porsche, after all) have hood-mounted missiles and such.

Good cast, this looks good. Jason Statham is a little badazz and Joan Allen is always good... dont know who the other male lead is but he looks pretty cool too. It looks a bit like "Running Man" with cars....cant wait to see it.

These cars have rear defenses also. Did you guys hate the Mad Max movies too?
Where can I get some missles for my rebuild?

Jason Statham lost me after the driver 2
he's stuck in the same rolls over and over and over again
there's little change in between the movies he makes

template for his movies
Dude is put in position he doesn't want to be in , or isn't supposed to survive
Dude is hard as nails, fast as greased lightening, part ninja, part race car driver,
and ultimately does the impossible, he kills a lot of people, kicks a lot of @sses and makes it out alive...

the end...

Have you seen "The Bank Job"? I agree his movies are generally very bubble-gum but the above surprised me.
