Something is wrong!

The Price of Gas is Down ($3.12 here locally)

Inflation is not as high as thought

We are not in a recession

The surge in Iraq is working

What the heck is going on?

First is true and good.

Last seems to be true and is very good.

Disagree on the middle two, though. Inflation is crazy, the only reason it can even be argued that it is not out of control is messing with the numbers.

And IMO when the GDP numbers for the current Q come in, it will show we are in the first half of a "2 consecutive quarters of negative GDP" definition recession. (And, even if not, it is so razor close that it really is just semantics).

It's election time. The oil producers don't want a Democrat in the office (who really does?) so they're trying to take fuel prices out of the equation. It's all a conspiracy. Didn't they tell you?

Was that sarcastic? I kinda think it was but I'm not sure.

Too bad you'll never hear a politician rightly blame the great ethanol myth for high food prices.

Good, now we don't need Captain McCain to save the day.

Looks like his vast experience(POW) will not be needed.

Whew, that was a close one.

Gas is still hovering in the $4 range here.

I had 4 people come in looking for jobs and 4 phone calls from people looking for jobs today this was a record for me since being in business for the last 15 years.

Business is down to its slowest point I have ever seen in 15 years.

Everything is perfect here.

We aren't going to be making any movies until after the SAG strike threat is settled. We're doing TV, but no features. In fact, our next feature isn't slated to start for six months. My boss says not to worry, but I'm not making any big purchases any time soon.

Times are good, IMO. We (my work) have had to lure guys away from other places to handle all the work (product development) ...and we are still swamped.

I expect that if times were tough actors, of all people, would be happy with any gig with any terms.

Yeah, but SAG sets the basement that SAG members are allowed to accept. If they accept less, they run the risk of getting kicked out. SAG is very powerful.

I was actually pleased today to pay a few pennies over $4 for premium.

Relatively low price, but still a warped feeling. :)

Hope & change are coming soon!

Oh, and bankruptcy for all those Dem programs too.
