but seriously - all of Obama + McCain's (former?) straight talk and his foreign policy experience

of course, that's why Obama picked Biden

I think you are giving Obama too much credit. If he were a white guy with the same background (Ivy League, community activist, state senate, partial term in US senate), people would say he was an inexperienced John Edwards who is really good at reading the teleprompter. In fact, Obama is the only national politician in recent memory who makes Edwards appear to have had gravitas.

It's astounding that the Democrats would nominate such a person so clearly lacking in any relevant experience.

Must be the Democrat's white guilt for the previous mis-acts of the party (look it up, the Democrats were the racist party).

I'm not really into Pie in the Sky, but a lot of what he says speaks to the common man and the inference is that if the average Joe does well, the economy will follow.

There is some truth in that. There is also a huge case to be made for paying off our foreign debt. We have now seen what the Republican party will do when put in charge of all branches of government. Another last in class party hack is not my idea of a good alternative, and make no mistake, McCain is a follower.

I have nothing against the man. It is the men behind the party that are the problem. They gave their best shot at maintaining our old school ways in the world, but instead of being the solution, it only exacerbated our problems. There is an agenda behind the repetetive rhetoric. Add that to the fundamental unwillingness of the party to pay for it's own agenda, and it becomes an economic death spiral.

Time to pony up.

More of why you shouldn't vote for JMc and less on why you should vote for BHO.

Isn't that pretty much their entire agenda? Vote for Obama because McCain sucks. Oh yeah, and hope, change.
