That's a sad story but the guy is going out on his own terms. We should all be so fortunate!

Hope he races against Phil Hill when he gets to where he's going.

That's sad, but great at the same time. He'll get a pole position for sure.

Bet there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Pretty talented guy and pretty humble at the same time.

Lime Rock (his home track) was also the place where he ran his first race. Glad he was able to run there at least one more time. Prettiest track I've ever visited.

Man, it's been a bad year for my racing heroes: Paul Frere, Phil Hill, and soon to be Paul Newman.

His total charitable contributions to date are estimated at over $230 million.
This isn't some guy who's a billionaire like Ted Turner or Bill Gates, he isn't poor but I bet he's given away as much as he's kept.

There's already a spot reserved for him in heaven.
