Red Light Camera
 

I think I may have gone through one earlier today. The car in front of me went and then stopped in the middle of the intersection. I was already in the middle when it turned red, not entering. If I get a photo ticket, the license plates are coming off the car. You don't need a temporary tag in CA.

I had a friend who got one of those things a few years back, he sent them a picture of his check.

you should be fine, I think they should be able to tell by the position of the car when the light turned red that you were already in the intersection.

There's a light in town that takes my picture everytime I turn right on red. Not sure exactly how they can tell the difference from one picture between entering to turn right or going through but they keep taking it and I've never received anything from them.

There is usually a person who reviews video and "judges" if you should be fined. Or at least thats how they do it here.

Why would they? they have his check acct number, the routing number and the amount? It is just as legal as if you do a check over the phone. I just thought it was a classic move.

Did your friend send you a picture of the now classic internet fake about the guy sending a picture of a check in to pay his photo radar ticket?

We've had some guys at work get them in company trucks. The pictures attached to the ticket show the red light before entering the intersection and when the car's in the intersection. If there no picture of the red light before you enter the intersection, you probably won't get a ticket. If you do, it should be contestable.
