Smart
I received an e-mail yesterday from one of my friends, telling me about the modified Smart cars, pictured below. I spoke with him on Skype and tried to tell him that they were only done with a software program----he went ballistic ,and now I have to prove to him that the cars are not real! Can anyone link me to this program as I cant seem to find it on Pelican?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1220395907.jpg cars were titled--Smorvette Smaudi Smamborghini Smorsche Smorsche Targa [I think thats the GT with Walter Rhorl?] Smerrari---and the e-mail said--no Smobra, yet! Its a great Idea though. http://img21.imagevenue.com/loc676/t..._122_676lo.jpghttp://img178.imagevenue.com/loc163/..._122_163lo.jpghttp://img218.imagevenue.com/loc141/..._122_141lo.jpghttp://img7.imagevenue.com/loc900/th..._122_900lo.jpg http://img167.imagevenue.com/loc930/..._122_930lo.jpghttp://img195.imagevenue.com/loc503/..._122_503lo.jpg |
The ones you posted are doing with photoshop I believe. The Smart car you show at the top is real. If I'm reading your post correctly.

Tell him to look at the brake calipers inside the wheel on each car, each caliper is in a different position. Also the Smart car is built around a very strong metal structure which is the silver bit you see from the side. Now look at each car and get him to tell you how they modified that with body panels and managed to completely change the rake of the windscreen. While I'm sure it would be possible to make such nice looking cars it would be an extremely costly and time consuming exercise. To be honest it would probably be easier starting from scratch than modifying an existing Smart car.
If he's still convinced ask him if he's interested in buying a bridge... |
A rather ironic thread title.
