He died from complications of a pneumothorax.
wow, I had two in college, and they stuck a tube in my chest to clear the air, oh and it was on my 21st birthday, no boose for me on that day. |

I worked with him a handful of times - real nice guy, totally pro.
More than a decade ago his agent would get the days itinerary to the driver and limo that Don had perpetually hired and Don would hit three, five or maybe eight places in a day to record his V.O.'s. That went on for years. Later, Don simply built a V.O. booth with ISDN hookups in his house because he was tired of driving all over town all day long (Who could blame him. L.A. traffic is horrible). The last time I worked with him was probably in 2001. He was doing some spots for the Disney Channel and he was in and out in about four minutes - that cost the client $1200. ![]() R.I.P. Don La. |
