Insurance adjuster coming: Need to know what to expect

I had a deer jump out in front of me this morning. I smacked it dead-on while it was in mid-air right in front of my 951. On the surface, it doesn't look too bad. But, I haven't had the opportunity to look at it closely yet. I haven't even tried to open the hood.

Before I left the scene, I called the local police and they came a wrote it up. I just wanted to make sure that they came to the scene and documented that there was a dead deer at the side of the road next to debris from my car.

Then, I called my insurance company, Traveler's, and submitted a claim. A little while later, I got a call from their adjuster and they are going to be at my house tomorrow morning. I was very uneasy regarding their "willingness" to settle this quickly. I'm guessing that their offer of settlement is not going to be what I would expect.

Can someone provide insight on how they play this game?

I just take my cars to the shop where I want it fixed and tell the insurance company to work with them.

It looks fixable from here. Get a couple quotes and get it fixed. Should only cost you your deductible. Unless the Bambi family decides to sue.

No. I took that picture in bad light with my cell phone. It is Crystal Green Metallic with a black interior.

Very easy fix. Matching the paint will be the hardest part. Most likely less than $2k. Most insurance companies try to settle this quickly. We deal with several companies that come out in a day or two and write a check on the spot.
