Hypocrisy is not limited to the Repub mouthpieces - neither side is guilt-free here. It's the unfortunate nature of the beast. Spin it, spin it good.

While the clip is an extreme, I think the reality is that when we favor a candidate/a position, it's really hard to be completely, totally objective. We all have our preferences and biases. Throw in a little emotion and antipathy for the other side, and that's the stuff 5 page threads are made of.

Bias inflects opinion, but it is possible to recognize and moderate bias. I think there is a reasoned and logical approach to every issue.

Karl Rove and Bill O are nobs.

Seahawk 09-04-2008 02:38 PM

I'm not objective in my perspective.

Seahawk 09-04-2008 02:39 PM

Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny are nobs.

Burnin' oil 09-04-2008 02:43 PM

Biden and Hillary are nobs.

Rove thinks Wasilla!! is the 2nd largest city in Alaska???

It's a suburb of Palmer.

And to think Rove was Bush's brain.

Rove was good enough to get George Bush elected President of the United States. . . twice!

I think that makes Rove the most brilliant man in the world.

Not even the most brilliant man in the Beltway.

That honor probably goes to John Sununu, who even has the test scores to prove it.

That's funny. Sad that it's true, but still funny.

The Rove and ORielly bits are just too funny. These guys have no credibility, they just spout garbage hoping someone will listen. How can you take anything they say seriously?

Extremely funny? Extremely telling? Extremely depressing?

Just business as usual. What is good for the goose has nothing to do with my gander, thank you very much.

I think what is sad is when people can't see the bias. I know where I'm liberal (most places) and where I'm conservative (some places). But there are a few around here who think they are "in the middle" and have no clue as to their baked-in bias. Perspective? That's for pansies...why search for perspective when you can swallow the kool aid of Rove/O'Reilly or Huffington/KOS?
