Personal Character... What would you do?

I know of a guy who suffered and sacrificed for his country tremendously when he was younger..... Eventually he married a hot wife that could supply him with all the free beer he could drink and more money than he could ever spend for the rest of his life...... If you were in his position, how would you live your life? what would you be doing today..... I personally would be thinking rest and relaxation....

No, you'd be a raging, potbellied, alcoholic jerk who yelled at kids who rode their bikes on your lawn. :D

Relax... live your life the best way you know how, and don't criticize other people's decisions to aim for loftier goals than you'd ever dream of aspiring to.

Pretty amazing this guy has chosen to continue to serve, I don't think that I could personally find it within myself to give a damn if I had managed to receive the keys to the kingdom...

I would come out of the closet and marry the guy with all the beer!

Porsche-O-Phile 09-05-2008 09:12 AM

I'd be living a lot better than I do today, but I certainly wouldn't be sitting idly around doing nothing either. I just don't think I have it in me. Probably running a business of some sort - maybe a non-profit or charitable business of some sort (if money weren't an object and I could really focus on it and give it the attention it needed).

I'd certainly enjoy the free beer too. :)

Probably look into setting up a few scholarship funds for kids too. I don't know if I'd get into politics. Don't really have the stomach for it, much as I'd like to get in and dismantle our stupid bloated bureaucracy from the inside-out. I'd probably stress over it too much. Better for me to just support someone with more of an aptitude for that.

I'd get a job that I enjoy more than this current one, regardless of pay.

That, and worry less.

I'd start by fleshing out my Porsche collection. Currently, my stable includes one.

Tobra 09-05-2008 09:27 PM

What kind of beer?

Mr.Puff 09-05-2008 10:17 PM

Sounds like you are happier than me. Try still being young with no serious relationships and stress up the wazoo.

You don't know another mans mind.

Is it a kingdom? Or a prison?

Wolves don't live well in castles. Ask me now I know.

Personally, I'd be questioning my choice of running mates, if I wasn't gloating about it so much...

All the beer you could drink. Nice touch, Bud.

Most politicians are rich, it's the norm. What's your point? So I suppose you really admire John Edwards, huh? HE could buy and sell your ass with his lunch money. Same w/ Kerry.

futuresoptions 09-06-2008 07:14 AM

Have u seen John Edwards wife?? I said the keys to the kingdom, not the keys to hell....

You mean the one dying of cancer? Classy guy you are.

sammyg2 09-06-2008 08:30 AM

It all boils down to his character. If he's just a regular guy he'll probably take the easy road. if he is a fine, upstanding individual who wants to make the world a better place and cares about his country and it's people, he'll run for POTUS. And win.

THe free kind!

I'd definitely be looking at a large boat and a sail around the Carribean. WHo wants to be the leader of the free world? Too many headaches!

That used to be my dream...until I crewed for a friend aboard a 57 foot sailboat for a few weeks. You can have the Caribbean, mon!
