??? You mean 986 (or 987), don't you? |
No, I think he was saying that the 968 does not suffer from the "girlie" image that the Boxster does.

Well, I am still as tossed up as I was when I asked!!! :)
So, my 07 Vette has the following issues: The rear end grinds badly. (Most likely to be replaced, although the dealer says they cannot reproduce the issue....ya right!) The top and interior have more rattles than Baby's R Us. The power steering shudders and groans when turning left. The drivers seat is badly worn on the bolsters (from ingress/ egress) I have just broken 13000 miles on the car. (Got in Jan 07). It is all under warranty (if the dealers will do it). I guess its the devil you know versus don't know. I am sure I could get a Boxster with issues....but that's not the whole issue.... I know the Boxster is a good drivers car, (so is the Vette, btw). But I am not a feminine guy, nor am I a gold chain wearing mobster. Argggghhhhh, back to square 1. |
That's a pretty sizeable list of gripes/problems with a car that only has 13k miles on it.

get a 928 and forgitaboutdavette

How about a Cayman/Boxster hardtop?
|
Caymans are still pricey. Which is insane. Had they come out first they would be the cheap cars and the new boxster roadsters would be priced crazy.
I am trying to whittle down my total outstanding debt, which is why I am looking at the used car. Isn't it crazy how cars project certain stereotypes?! |

Buy an $11K Boxster and do a 3.6L swap.
