Settle a Stupid Argument - Are these chick cars?

Just a stupid conversation but I was wondering what yo'all thought - if it is poss to have a car be a 'chick car' meaning dat only da womens should be driving dem (like a Maita or a convertable VW rabbit):

The Saturn Sky and the Pontiac Solstice?

Anybody who bases their manhood on the type of vehicle they drive is at best, infantile. At worst, an idiot with self esteem issues and sexual insecurity. Take your pick.

Certain cars certainly are "chick cars," i.e., appeal mostly to women. The sales data shows that. I'm sure the data can be found on the Internet.

I remember seeing some of the data a few years ago. I think the standard ones you would expect to be "chick cars" are for the most part "chick cars," i.e., bought 75%+ by women - Beetle convertibles, etc.

"Manly" cars? From what I recall, the 911 was actually pretty high up there, being purchased 90% by men. I do remember the "ultimate man's car" was the Viper, it was something like 99% men.

I thought anything by Saturn was a chick car?

If I ever get rid of my 944 (chick car) I would replace it with a Solstice (chick car) or Boxster (chick car).

I would not rule out a Corvette either, although at my age with the thinning hair a mullet is out of the question.

As you can see I am massively concerned with what people think of the car I drive.

I would even consider a 996... are those chick cars too?

Not a chick car. The lines are rather aggressive for a chick car, even though you normally see women driving them.

Now a PT Cruiser convertible, VW rabbit convertible, etc., those are definately chick cars. 'Round here, they're called "beyotch buckets".

The reason that lots of chicks drive the smaller cars is that that's all they can afford. If sugar-daddy is buying, he'll get the little woman a Mercedes SLK, or SL, or some such expensive car. Here in Las Vegas we see only dressed-to-the-nines women driving the expensive cars. Guess who bought those cars (and those dresses, and hair, and facials, etc)?

If the woman is a working woman, she can usually only afford a Miata, or a Beetle, or a Solistice, etc. Ask any of your colleagues who are secretaries or such what they can afford.

Why do you think the Ford F-150 is the best selling car around? Because it costs less than any other car!

It's all about the price, stupid.

Maybe a car a man wouldn't buy becomes a chick car by default. I vote the Pontiac is a chick car. I guess i have to acknowledge that the Boxster is too, since my wife picked it and drives it 98% of the time. HOWEVER, in a man's hands (and some women), some of these cars handle very very well. You know what I'm talking about.
