Forks

We already had a knife thread, so...

where can I get forks like this one (as you can see, it's had a hard life including some tussles with the disposal)

What I like about it is that it is short and works well for salad, etc. but it still has that little cut away sharp prong for stabbing a piece of meat.

Any ideas on finding something like this? I'm running out of these things...

Know the maker/pattern? Many old named patterns are still available in settings or single pieces. My mom a few years ago found replacement settings for her parents stuff which was originally purchased in '32.

My dad always told me that spooning led to forking.

It almost seems as if that indentation is supposed to be similar in function to a knife's blood gutter.

well, I do try to be versatile with my forking

I dunno the name of the pattern - family had these things when I was a kid, and knowing the their penchant for Scottish penny pinching, they may date back to the earliest metallurgy or something soon after that guy invented forks.

there is something written on the back - will try to magnify and read
