Suggestions: what's the best way to recognize and meet Pelicans at Ventura?

Every single function I've been to has had people walk past (or is it [I]passed[?)/I] each other only to find out later that, "Oh, that was so and so!" by looking at pics or comments. Shouldn't there be some way to make sure opportunities are not lost? I mean some folks have and will come a long way for this event. I've met 2-3 of the East Coast guys, but they found me. How do I find YOU??

Need some sort of Cheesehead-like "Pelican" hat. Or maybe tee shirts with a user name printed on the back would be a more subtle touch.

I wore a pelican name tag to my first Ventura show. Not one other seen. Man, did I feel like a dweeb.

It'll be hard to identify a regular pelicanite at GAF (are we allowed to call it that?).

But, a PPOT Pelican should be easy to spot. We'll be the ones walk along with our knuckles dragging on the ground, breathing out of our mouths, and fighting with any vendor that wants to charge more than $5 for any part that they're selling. Other telltale signs will be the t-shirt stained with salsa from the breakfast burrito that's sold at the roach coach just outside the show. A PPOTer is too cheap to buy the food inside the show (have you seen what they charge for that stuff?!?!). Some of us, the ones that walk upright, might have signs strapped to our backs with stuff like: "Wanted: 914-6 hand throttle assembly!" or "I need one gas burner!"

I usually wear a PP t-shirt. In fact, I get recognized around L.A. when I wear one.

I know one Pelican who actually boasts in public "Will work for Porsche parts". Good guy though so help him out if you can.

I will have to vouch for that one. Went to a museum with slodave, and someone actually recognized him from the shirt (and possibly the flowing locks).

edit: Well, I won't be making it on Sunday. Wife just found me a ticket (one?!) to some event at the Playboy Mansion.
