Thanks for this, Sonic. Great post.SmileWavy

R.I.P.

The story I always heard about reunion, etc.. was that Waters and Wright really had a lot of bad blood between them. More so than the lawsuits over the use of the Pink Floyd name, images, pigs, etc.. Mason and Gilmour for the most part had kinda resolved things with Waters.

At one point, he was simply considered a session musician. IIRC, he was fired from the band, and really didnt contribute much to the post Animals Floyd.

i think he received zero song writing credit on the wall and he did not play on the final cut and he was paid a salary to tour the wall after he was fired

despite what a monster waters may have been, in all of the interviews with him in the past 10 years or so, he has always spoken very highly of the other members, including rick. it has always been gilmour who did not want to tour. even roger said he would love to do it. perhaps, david was secretly speaking for rick?

hell the "WHO" lost (2) members, moon and entwistle and they are still touring. maybe this will give some impetus to a reunion tour.

wierder things have happened. im keeping my fingers crossed.

I thought this interpretation of Echoes was well done.

i picked up Gilmour's 5 disc set today. it is, awsome! hearing and seeing Rick was a bit sad. but highly recommended. i would spring for the 5 disc and not the other versions...as there are some great extras just as there were on the Royal Albert Hall release last year of Dave and Rick jamming in David's barn-studio...a poster and some pretty nifty postcards etc..

the sound and video quality is really superb
