What kind of Porsche do you have, a GT3 or something ? When I sold my 911 I got 19K. Hardly enough to make one rich. When I sold my 951, it was barely worth doing. Stupid in fact.

I feel for ya Bob...that's the kind of "crap shoot" I was referring to. A couple I've known for 20 years, good friends, BOTH great people that have been together 30, recently split and of course, everything is as you describe for my buddy. I wouldn't have called that one in a million years...people change I reckon. I know my ex g/f sure did the 180 on me :(. Good luck man!
