What's For Dinner

Well, I fired up the grill at 11:00 this morning to start dinner.

We had a Fondue at 3:30 with top sirloin, garlic/mayo dip, mushrooms, red peppers and Chipollie (SP?) onions along with some home made bread. Home made apple dumplings were for dessert but we both had to pass because we were so full from dinner. Maybe tomorrow...

Turkey sammich. I'd take a picture, but I wouldn't want to make any of you jealous. ;)

Tonight was pasta fazole and poundcake + berries for desert.

Tomorrow night's pesto sauce is already made, courtesy of my big old basil garden on the balcony. 2 varieties- sweet basil and spicy globe basil. Threw that in the food processor with some pine nuts, garlic, parmesean, and some very very fancy extra virgin that's delicious even by itself. Man, I can't wait for dinner tomorrow! Linguine pesto, and then more poundcake!

My wife and an offspring leave today for a ten day D.C. trip. Someone asked one of my kids what we will be eating while Mom is gone. The response ws "cereal." They know me so well. All cereal, all the time . . .
