Went for a walk by the Bay - Post Ike
Nature trail that goes along Galveston Bay. For the locals it's called "Pine Gully Park." If you walk the 1.18 mi. trail in it's free. If for some reason you want to be fat and lazy and drive you have to pay five dollars. We went on a Saturday afternoon the weather was perfect, and the place was DESERTED! had the place to ourselves and three or four other people. Highly reccomend it.
Here are some pics.  The water was 12 ft high here...  Stop looking at my butt and enjoy the scenery...  This used to be an awesome pier...  This is a tree...  Check out the brake rotor and axle. How did this get thirty feet out in the surf?  Here is the pier with Kemah boardwalk in the distance.
