A Little Speculation
With the Federal debt about to go up to 11.6 Trillion $$$$ the next President is not going to be able to do anything but cut the Federal Budget. He will be hamstrung. What will be his keeper are those that buy US debt and hold US $$$. ALl they have to do is threaten to not buy or say they are going to dump $$$ and interest rates will climb and USD will fall in value.
Yet the USA is TOOOO BIG TO FAIL, for if we go down so does everyone else. We alone account for 25% of the worlds GDP. The USA is twice as large as anyone else. Everyone is holding US debt and USD. If the US currency crumbles so will everyone elses currency that is how intertwined finances are. One could speculate that the Wall Street Boyz timed this economic collapse just in time for Obama to become president. Obama will in effect just be sitting in the WH with nothing to do. All the Prez job will be is a gloriifed night watchmans job which will be to answer the call at 3AM. There will be no new programs lest the buyers of our debt complain. So Obama should not be worried about 50M people without helath care let us try 200M without it. BOyz whether it is going to be next week or in 3 years we are going to be in a bread line. The game is about up unless we cut, cut and cut some more. The American people are going to be much poorer.
