LP tanks
Why do you have to turn the tanks off when you go through a tunnel?
Google "Caldecott tunnel fire" for an example.
That was a gasoline tanker. I am talking about 30lb. LP tanks on an RV.
i think they are considered a class b explosive, or something.
turn of LP
Propane is heavier than air and will settle at lowest point. No air movement and right mixture can set of a big boom.
That's why propane lockers on boats are sealed and vented over board. |
I thought the LP tanks had to ALWAYS be off when you are driving/pulling an RV
Thanks for the info, I was thinking it had something to do with the pressure change below sea level.
