He may not get the 75K. It was worth that when he drove it off the lot. Now, it's one model year old. But, at least he didn't put a lot of miles on it. Too bad at the price per mile.

I can actually sell my 08 Camry Hybrid for more than I bought it for. No need to sell however.

I wonder what sticker was. Unless it was over 100K, somebody got a pretty poor deal buying an '08 when so much info was out on the '09s.

997 Carrera S's are great cars. Too bad about the depreciation, but that's how it always goes with new cars just before a model update. Someone will get a nice car.

A much older 911S with higher mileage (looking at the pics, I suspect the seller forgot to mention the first 100,000. Check out the chips on the gauges, obvious touch up repaint of the dash, the overly worn seats, etc.)...and sold for more!

My guess is the same as yours. I'm wondering if some Europe buyer is going to find himself a wee bit disappointed when the cargo ship comes in. Just looking at the pics I'd say this one can't hold a candle to my old car...

People seem to still be willing to pay high prices for tulip bulbs these days. New paint covers up bondo well, right?

Oh well...I can look at myself in the mirror when I shave. I can smile, knowing that what is possibly the best NON restored '72 911S in the world now resides in Istanbul, safely out of the hands of certain Tulip Bulb traders. There it will remain for hopefully generations to come.

Evren, Ruki, the 3 daughters, (and the Nanny) will be visiting here mid December. Looking forward to meeting our "honorary grandkids". Not enough room in our small house, so the entire upstairs of a local B&B has been reserved to hold them all.

I know it will be cherished as it was and forever should be.

Yep...not all the stories that involve the early 911S mania have bad endings.

If any plans to head to Eugene, I'll give you a ring. No set "to do" plans right now.
