Missing Pelican Icon / Firefox Bookmarks

I'm using Firefox 3.03 on a PC.

I created a bookmark for this page:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/

And up until a month or so, it showed up on my Bookmarks Toolbar like this:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1222708579.gif

But, now it looks like this:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1222708638.gif

I noticed the changed icon matches one for another website I frequent. For some reason, this icon has taken over as some kind of default? Not sure.

I then created a new bookmark for the Pelican Parts home page, and it "sticks" just fine, e.g., the icon is the Pelican and stays the Pelican.

Why won't my bookmarked page remember to use the Pelican icon?

I tried a couple of add-in tools for Firefox that manage icons; they did allow me to change it, but each time I restared, the old icons were back.

WTF? Is there something about the Pelican site that the admin must define which icons are used by each page that is bookemarked? Or...?

Robert - interesting you bring this up.
I noticed the same thing occurred after Wayne posted about the recent forum upgrade.
But just tonight, I see the Pelican icon up for each of the forum tabs I've opened.

Yes, the missing Pelican icon returned to on my system as well.

I was told by an admin on another site the little grey-ish "V" icon is the default for the Vbulletin software. This explains why I see it on other bookmarks too.

All:

Mine didn't revert to the Pelican symbol. I tried deleting my old bookmark and saving a new one- still get the blue check mark. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Paul.
