Anybody Got any neat Sr. Photo suggestions

I am taking my Sr. pics next weekend and was wondering if anyone had any neat suggestions for pictures with my 944. I am trying for something that is different from every other sr pic with a car. I am going to do a few others with my backpacking gear and some just casual photos. Most will probably done just on my family's 10 acres but the photographer has a few other neat spots in the area we might go to. Does anybody have anything that they have done or seen that is really out there but doesn't involve me sitting on the fresh paint.

Slight tangent...

What's the deal with sr. pix? I saw this on a photo forum as well. We never did this, is this a newer tradition?

I'm not sure. I know my dad did when he was he graduated in '82. I really haven't had professional photos made since i was like 4 anyways so it was time. Oh and now i have that pretty little Porsche so it just makes sense to add it in. I will make sure and upload them for you guys.

I did have a sr. page in the yearbook. I guess it was not the 'in thing' at my HS.

How big was your school. There are 19 in my graduating class. We will all have a formal pic a casual pic and a baby pic in the year book. Now any other pics will be for handing out to family/friends and sendinf out in grad announcements.

16 in my graduating class. Seniors were each given an entire page, do whatever they wanted.

BTW, I don't really have any suggestions, not much into portrait photography. Have fun with it!

Go retro...white shirt, skinny tie, sports jacket. Toss in heavy black framed glasses.

Have the pic taken against a solid backdrop in black & white...

Oh wow wish we got our own page. Course we would have had 12 until they combined us with another school. I love my small school.

My daughters made a huge deal out of their senior pictures..... big waste of money if you ask me. A professional senior picture needs to go in the yearbook, all the other pictures are just a money maker for the photography studios.

Things have sure changed since I was in HS. We got the obiligatory head shot and that's it. No retakes, if you had lettuce in your teeth, it was in the yearbook for eternity. Then again, we had 3500 students in my school and 800 in my graduating class.

I didn't take professional Senior pictures OR have a Graduation Party. Didn't see the need to do those things. I was just glad to be out of school and get started on playing in my band and becoming a rockstar.

Ok, that didn't work out too well but we sure had a lot of fun trying. Along the way, I got the chance to have opportunities and meet many new people, some famous and some not, that I will remember forever.

When you're 25 or 30 pretty much anything you think is really cool right now will seem stupid. SO, just have fun and don't worry about it.

That said, as much as I love cars, I suggest you don't take a picture with your car.

Should snap a picture like the scene from "Sixteen Candles" where Jake is leaning against the 944 as Molly Ringwald comes out of the chapel . . .
