the 10/22 is a great rifle.

i had a marlin somethingoranother. it had a tube magazine. if i had a kid, i would go the same route. cheap and durable. you need to hand the kid one bullet at a time anyways in the beginning. my dad, knew he made the wrong decision when i hit a running jackrabbit. luckiest shot in my entire life. i was 11.
