I saw the 80's TV show and I liked it as a kid.

When I saw the movie it turned into a Tom Cruise ego trip when they killed the "team" in the first five minutes.

TV show was not in the 80's. I Watched it in re-runs in the 1970's...

that was a 1960's show, pre Get Smart I think
