Bicycle guys... what's a Schwinn World Sport worth?

Bicycle guys... what's a Schwinn World Sport worth? I've seen prices from $60 all the way up to $300. I'm guessing it's worth somewhere in between. What do you think?

After reading a lot of bicycle bulletin board posts I put in on Craigslist at $125. It was gone in exactly 1 hour from a guy who lived about 2 miles away. I live in a very cycle-centric part of town.

Wow - deja vu!!! I was just thinking about my first bicycle last night (not a kid bike, an adult bike). It was that bike exactly. I wanted to try duathlons (college runner) but I needed a bike. I found it behind the house my parents were renting. I think I rode that bike for about two years.

Glad you got $125 for it. Sounds like you are happy and apparently, so are they.

Yeah, it was exactly what he was looking for. After walking inside from the sale there was e-mail from another guy who really wanted it. Makes me wonder if it might have brought a little more. Oh well. I'm pretty sure we paid $100 for it around 10 years ago so I'm not complaining.

Its a nice bike, but they don't bring the kind of $ that old Motobecanes or Italian bike bring.

Very true. However, Schwinn Paramounts are huge in the collector's sector. So are old Fuji bicycles. Both are beautiful bicycles, IMO.
