Gas Thread
$2.89 down the street. Most places, even the "expensive" ones are dropping the price to $2.99.
Diesel is still near $4. I feel bad for anyone who heats with fuel oil...this winter is not going to be cheap. |
3.15 for 85 octane in Castle Rock, CO...
3.45 for Premium |
$2.89 for 87 octane, $3.13 for 93 Octane at a local Chevron.
Diesel is $3.25 at Murphy Oil (Wally World). |
$2.87 at UDF on Cinci-Dayton Rd.

For some reason, in recent weeks, Greensboro has had the highest gas prices in the nation (according to the local news). Now the major east coast pipe lines run through here, and a huge tank farm is not far away. Someone recently followed a tanker that filled up here, then drove a few miles to the state line to deliver the fuel to VA where the price was approximately 50 cents per gallon cheaper. State taxes, etc. don't even come close to justifying the difference, so SOMEBODY is sticking it to us :(. As usual, when an "event" happens, the price goes up IMMEDIATELY and "they" justify it as being due to the price they'd pay to replenish their tanks...funny it doesn't happen the other way around isn't it?
