I've always wanted to start a powerwashing business, and use a firetruck. great advertising tool, plus it would make driving to the jobsites more fun...

That's great. Once I saw a guy who had bought a Maserati Mexico that was totally trashed, engine block in the trunk, rotted interior, no windows no dash. He cut the front off of it and fire bricked it and made it into an outdoor fireplace. You shoved firewood through the grill opening. Wish I had a pic. Oh, he bought it for something like $750 and sold the five Borrani Wire Wheels for $1,500, but they were in sad shape.

i like this

actually , i prefer the slightly bigger missile launcher trucks they make
with the idea of building a mobile house on the chassis

none of that mincy unimog or pinzgauer crap ... i want a mobile home with jacuzi , bathroom , sauna, garage for a car, guest rooms and a big ass living room... And still be able to go just about anywhere

I sell into the fire truck market on an OEM level. the striker in the photo above have the silver aluminum roll up doors made by our company along with several other components.

I see virtually every piece of new fire fighting and ambulance equipment made in the USA on a weekly basis. great fun to see and the builders are an interesting bunch.

If you see a round or teardrop shaped handle on a fire truck are all made by us and they are on almost all the trucks as it is the most widelay accepted door handle in the market.

I had the opportunity to drive a standard pumper engine for about 5 minutes that would carry 6 or 8 men...ran the horn, lights, sirens all of it. Probably the coolest thing I have ever driven- the amount of horsepower on tap was incredible.
