I always thought Jermey Pivens had the worst shameless plugs.

Z-man 10-14-2008 08:53 AM

Ok - I can't really keep up with you publishing-type intellectuals, but I will be speaking at an IBM Technical User Group conference later this month. Working title of my presentation is:
Maximizing Efficiences in an Expanding SAN Environment.

I am sure that I will have folks at the edge of their seats in suspense.....

-Z-man.

PS: I did get published in my PCA region's newsletter -- does that count?

End shameless plug

Oh... oh... lets all got to the IBM thing and heckle Z-man!

M.D. Holloway 10-14-2008 01:19 PM

While we’re on the topic of shameless plugs, I am giddy about these . . .

Start shameless plug

We just delivered our first Grande Utopia EM loudspeakers from Focal. It is destined to be hailed as one of (if not THE) best speakers in the world. 16” electromagnetic (that’s right electromagnetic) sub bass driver. With 14 lbs of copper wiring & a variable power supply, you can tailor the bass exactly to your room. The driver has 98% efficiency at 16Hz. A total of 3 new patents are pending for the technology involved in this speaker. The top portion of the speaker tilts via a rear crank to dial in the listening window.

I have heard them in 4 environments in 4 different systems & they are breathtaking. I delivered the 1st pair to a consumer on Long Island last week. We had the North American premiere in Denver over the weekend at the RMAF.

After you hear these, you will want to build a bonfire in the backyard with whatever you currently own.

End Shameless Plug

Great looking! With that form factor, I see them as sculpture (Gawwd, I freakin' HATE superfluous techno-speak - "form factor").

I'm guessing that the open wedges are acoustically functional, eh?

Continue Shameless Plug

They are all separate cavities - bass, mid, tweeter - the top 3 - that tilt.

End - Continue Shameless Plug

I'm currently contemplating conscientuously constructing a compelling condensed compilation of the Bush library in one tome.

It will weigh at least 1.2 lbs. (and I don't intend to resort to helium font text as certain others have done).

If I don't tarry, the tome won't take too much time.

Sorry, despite the alliteration, this can't be construed as a Shameless Plug. When it is done & you're trying to make money with it, OK. Then it will be allowed.

Sure thing - as soon as I'm finished putting on the final touches...

But I assure you, it won't be as exciting as Developing Purchasing Specs...

I know that rubbing two of them together hasn't worked so far for me. How about releasing just that one tidbit as a teaser. I've got two chihuahuas that have turned real nasty (there's been a lot of friction between them).

svandamme 10-15-2008 07:37 AM

ok, here's a teaser
you can glue woodchips to the little rats
then use a paintstripping heat gun on em, it acts like a supercharger on an engine...
