NOS? Browning BL .22 Rifle Questions

I recently aquired an old Browning BL .22 rifle from a friend of mine who has had it since he was a child. It is in it's original box and appears unused. In fact my friend does not recall it ever being fired. The box says "Standard Grade". Any of you rifle guys care to comment on it's value and how best to sell it? I'm not really into guns and it seems someone might really enjoy this more than me. By the way, the box has the serial number that matches the gun (47B30807) and the owner's manual. My guess is that the gun is in the 40 year old range. Might trade for a pair of nice 8x16 Fuchs! Thanks for any input. Scott Crosby | ||

Is it a Belgian Browning? If so, an unfired BL 22 Belgian would probably be worth some extra $$.

Don't discount it because it's Japanese. They make a LOT of great guns. They are making Browning, SKB, Howa, the list of good guns they make is long. Mirikou is another great maker over there. They probably made your .22.
