Some would call this a heavy downpour with very poor visibility...

That's a mere drizzle.


This is more like what's been discussed here as a heavy downpour where flashers are the way to go (and this is what it looks like with the wipers going at full speed).

I've driven in many downpours heavier than this (on the interstate, too), and believe me; you will see that vehicle ahead a lot sooner if he's got his flashers on...

So, as you can see... if you're running so fast that this is the first look you get of the vehicle ahead of you, and you have to swerve or hit it, it is you that screwed up.
