Caught a Zebra Today

So I went to the gun show today in Indy. It's located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds here in the city.

As I'm walking back to my car, I notice a zebra come running out of one of the alley's leading back to the parking lot. My immediate thought was "Yeah, that's not right. I'm going to have to grab him."

The FFA is having their annual convention this week, and sure enough, it escaped through one of the doors at their rodeo. It still had a bridle on it, with a rope attached, so I cautiously approached it, and grabbed it's rope.

As I'm sitting there, decided what I'm going to do with the zebra, three cowboys and an event security guy come running down the alley. They asked if I was ok, and thanked me for "roping" the zebra.

Now I can die knowing that I caught a zebra with my bare hands.

From wikipedia:

Catching the Zebra is a colloquialism used by TV critics and fans to denote that point in a TV show or movie series' history where the plot veers off into absurd story lines or out-of-the-ordinary characterizations. In the process of undergoing these changes, the TV or movie series loses its original appeal. Shows that have "caught the zebra" are typically deemed to have passed their peak. According to the theory, once a show has "Caught the Zebra" fans can designate the point of the show's perceived decline in overall quality with the "Catch the Zebra" moment.

The phrase refers to a scene in a three-part episode of the American TV series, Family Guy, first broadcast on November 20, 2008. In the "Gun Show" episode, Chris Griffin (Seth Green), wearing swim trunks and his trademark blue Tee-Shirt, Catches a stray Zebra while attending a gun show at a local fairgrounds.

Aw geez I tried.

Zebras should roam free, what's the matter with you? Just kidding.

Cool story, I just put it on my bucket list.
