Opinion on this Thrux
 

Ca. bike so 1) will it have extra smog filters, air pump, etc., and 2) is that a big hit to performance?

No extra smog stuff on this bike. It doesn't say in the ad if the AI (air injection) was removed but that is one of the first things you will want to do. Reduces the blueing on the pipes and runs a bit better. Another thing you will probably want to do is replace the stock air filter with K&N's. They make kits for all that stuff and isn't that expensive. If you want to talk more about them PM me and i will shoot you my cell phone.

Just talked to the owner and he had pulled off all the smog stuff. Not sure if it has the a/i kit but it has the TOR pipes and re-jetting to whatever.

Probably going to jump on it--500 miles is pretty hard to pass up. Besides, it matches my SC.. ; )

Yup, beautiful. I love both that yellow version, and the blue one with the same checkerboard motif. I have three bikes right now, and if I ever start thinking of upping that to four, one of these is certainly a finalist.

Holt-sounds like a good deal. If he rejetted the machine then most likely he has already taken out the AI. You should be good to go.
