I need a huge...

..."Starbucks" decal. Anyone have a lead?

Went to the local college area coffee-house today. You know the one, where you have to wait for the hippie to finish his smoke before he makes your coffee. It's nearby and the coffee is good. I don't go there alot, as I usually make my own, but today I was lazy.

Anyway...the "menu-board" says "Mocha". I ask for a "cafe mocha". Where I come from a "mocha" is hot chocolate and a "cafe mocha" is coffee with chocolate. The girl kinda looks at me funny and asks if I want a "mocha". I say no, "cafe mocha", you know...coffee with chocolate". I wasn't raising my voice nor did I have an attitude. I was just 'splainin what I wanted.

So, hippie dude, over-hearing this, and most likely trying to impress all the college girls in the joint says in his loudest voice "THIS AIN'T STARBUCKS, DUDE!" followed by a horse laugh.

"I can go to Starbucks if you like" was my reply, along with a dirty look. The girl intercedes and says "OK, we call that a "mocha".

So...back to my request. I want to get the largest Starbucks logo decal I can find and, after-hours, affix it to the front (glass) door. I know that hippie boy, aka dishwasher/janitor, will be the one given the assignment to remove it.

???

I'll settle for a bunch of little ones. I can stop by every day on my way home and put a new one on

Toss a horse's head through the window.

That'll get his attention.

Please read the poopy ice cream thread.

Yeah, I saw that. However, everything is in view at this place. It would be obvious if hippie-boy hocked a loogie in my "mocha". Not to mention, he knows I'd stomp a mud-hole in his backside if he ever tried it.

Can't get my hands on a horses head quickly. Would a zebra head have the same effect?

So let me get this straight, you don't see "cafe mocha" on the menu but you order it anyways? Then get bent out of shape when the girl working there asks for clarification? Now you want to vandalize the store because you some "hippie dude" called you on your attitude? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/shake.gif

On what planet is hot chocolate called a mocha? Mocha gets it's name from the Yemen port of Mocha, and is in fact coffee. Seems your attitude online is representative of how you are in person. Bonus points for consistency.

Hippie,

I didn't get bent out of shape. I was very polite as the girl behind the counter was to me. And, guess what. It is quite common to order stuff you don't see on the menu's. (In California, they're called "rolled tacos". Elsewhere they're called "flautas").

I didn't have a problem until your off-spring opened his pie hole.

In my (normal) world, "Mocha" is synonymous with "hot chocolate". "Cafe mocha" is coffee/chocolate.

Now, I asked for a Starbucks decal, not your opinion. And yes, I will be "vandalizing" the shop, if that's what you want to call it. Your people call it "tagging", no?

Here you go, bean-drip: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cafe_mocha

Oklahoma is a stranger place than I ever imagined. I'd bet a fiver that before Starbucks placed it's rotten tentacles on your town, the term "mocha" was never uttered, EVER.

Where per-say is this coffee shop and the best i could do on the starbucks logo is 11 7/8" inches tall. But with questionable legality and what not my dad probably wouldnt do it in his graphics shop. Has to do with copyright logos and crap.

The only way to order coffee here before starbucks was black.

Just my point. Were there lots of hot chocolate vendors on the street hawking their "mochas" before then? My fiver says NO.

porsche4life 10-25-2008 10:32 PM

The quick shop on the corner sells said black coffee and hot chocolate that is to hot to drink for like an hour after you buy it. Guess you could pour them together?

So cute, you should do standup.

But you proved my point. Mochas are now, and always have been chocolate laced coffee drinks.

Your 4 Starbucks doesn't impress me, but your slightly insane need to justify your need to vandalize a company does.

What does this have to do with Oklahoma?

87coupe 10-25-2008 10:32 PM

No hippie here. Apparently in your world being ignorant is "normal". You've clearly demonstrated your ignorance here; perhaps if you were smarter than the hippie working at the coffee shop you wouldn't be here lamenting about your experience. Maybe if you weren't such a tool you'd take this issue up with the guy face to face and quit b1tching on the internet and plotting your lame little vandalism revenge.
