Hey, I'm not AV snob either, my TV isn't even a flat panel.

It'll just eat most plasmas for lunch, while your old skool Sony eats the Denon :p

I need something like a multi-in one out receiver because the TV doesn't have that many inputs, and I try to only use the DVI one anyways (oh noes, not even HDMI!!) :D

Isn't the Wii HD? It should use at least component (Y,Pb,Pr) not composite. ;)

You'd imagine, but no, I think they're looking at bringing out an HD version. It comes with a composite cable. I don't really use it that often, but if you can be bothered there is a component cable you can buy for it.

If you wrap some aluminum foil around the rabbit ears, it might help your reception :).

edited: ps: I'm actually considering dropping my DirectTV...I just don't watch that much TV, and OTA HD is pretty awesome (I'd stick an antenna in my attic to pick up stations from Raleigh & Charlotte too).

It's an old Sony 34 inch widescreen 1080i HD CRT...still considered the best HD image ever put on a screen ;) Super fine wire grid gives it a resolution higher than plasma or LCD, and the CRT gives it color depth that no pixelated image can touch.

But, its not 72 inches so people assume it's crap.
