One of the things I miss most about SoCal is Jerry's 'Famous' Deli.

I'll be sailing out the Golden Gate that day, or I'd be there.

Always my first stop when in El Ay for lunch... eat extras of the pickled noshes on the table for me, and maybe a cup of the (giant) matzah ball soup

Should have taken a picture of the pastrami sandwiches that DD74 and I had, Slodave had an omlette (?)

Had a great time and we left slodave in the parking lot teaching/directing some old guy how to back his brand new BMW 750 iL out of a tight parking spot. Let's do it again sometime soon. SmileWav

I guess splitting a whole pastrami is enough for 2?
Can you please match a name to a face in the pic you took.

effin-A, that's funny.

I'm on the far left. Hugh's in the back on the right. Dave is on the near right.

I didn't see any pickles. Jerry's is sort of high end for me. I'm used to Canter's in the Fairfax Area, or Langer's near downtown L.A. - places where the ceilings are yellowed from grease and cigarette smoke.

Why dont they have any good Jewish Deli's in the OC??
I am only 25% Jew, not their is anything wrong with that
all I need is a pastrami on rye, but the pastrami must be sliced super thin and the bread must be fresh.

What? Jews don't know how to make an omelette. I sinned big time too - bacon .

I'm actually not much of a Jeri's fan. I had not been to one in at least 5 years. Looks like they have changed a bit. Everything was too greasy for me and I usually felt a little ill a couple hours later.

Lunch is usually my first meal and I don't eat eggs that often. Whew! There you have it!

BTW, I'm the one in the grey shirt that looks wasted. Hugh is behind me and that leaves David on the left.

Hey Dave - did that guy in the 750iL ever get out of his parking spot? That was a laugher. Talk about an L.A. story - guy buys far too much car for his abilities. Sheesh!

He got out. Took a bit of time, but a Jerry's employee finally got him out. There was a brief moment, when I thought there might be a Jaguar-BMW hybrid though.

One of the many reasons why I park on the street.
