From the looks of the first pic they had gutted it. At least I hope no one is dumb enough to waste all that meat.

The ones my friends & I got...had to be field dressed, skinned, quartered before we could carry 'em out to a road. Work, lots of work...on a large bull. Actually "fifth"...the head was another pack out.

This is why we learned to hunt uphill...easier packing downhill.

Very good chance they are from a Rez. Our leased ranch abuts the Crow rez and I have seen some reeeal interesting things going on out there.
